Dot Nixey is a licensed Martha Pullen Instructor in Heirloom Sewing. She is licensed as a Pfaff, Bernina, Viking and Serger Teacher. Dot has also studied under world renowned sewing stars: Jenny Haskins, Cindy Losekamp, Kari Mecca,, Beverley Sheldrick and Wendy Schoen. Dot is a certified Image Consultant and a graduate of the Fashion Academy of California.

Years ago a special occasion called for a special garment to be made, particularly for weddings, christenings or to welcome a new baby. These garments were painstakingly made by hand with the finest workmanship. These heirlooms were passed down from one generation to the next, creating wonderful memories and treasured keepsakes.

Heirloom sewing was a handwork tradition. Fortunately with the advent of precision sewing machines; it is now possible to replicate those hand sewing techniques. Using the finest fabrics and laces these projects are recognized by their exquisite fine quality.

Along with sewing classes; Dot offers custom heirloom creations that can be handed down from generation to generation. Stunning Christening Gowns, Flower Girl Dresses or 1st Communion Dresses are available by special order.
